Interdental brushes to treat gum disease

Do your gums bleed when you brush your teeth?
Do you have spaces between your teeth and gums?

Interdental brushes are the most effective way to remove the plaque that is main cause of gum disease. Periodontal (gum) disease is not only alarming to find blood when you clean your teeth but does have other far reaching effects for instance there is increasing evidence suggesting that gum disease and heart problems may be closely linked. Researchers suspect that bacteria present in gum disease can travel throughout the body, triggering inflammation in the heart’s vessels and infection in heart valves.

Our unique charting system designed and written by Dr Christopher Turner enables you to create your own dental record. The Choosabrush pack includes all you need to make the use of interdental brushes part of your daily dental routine.

Why is it so important if you are diabetic?

Do You Know: As a person living with diabetes that you are at 3 to 4 times greater risk of developing periodontitis (gum) disease than a non-diabetic? This rises to 10 times if you smoke.

If you control gum disease it can improve your blood sugar control, reduce your risk of hyperglycaemia, and reduce the risks of other known complications. If you have gum disease it can induce Type 2 diabetes and pre-eclampsia.

It really works!

The Chooseabrush™ Interdental Charting System has been developed by Dr Chris Turner, Specialist in Restorative Dentistry.
